Programs 12 months- 6 year olds

Children develop through universal and predictable stages of play
Educators provide play spaces, supply child-size props that represent real world objects, time, and multiple activities that offer children choices for their play and learning experiences
Educators also act as a co-player and be in a unique position:
- to extend children’s ideas and/ or challenge inequities
- view each experience as a learning opportunity alongside the children. May explore the socio-cultural dynamics of the group of children with one another and adults

Young children learn through active exploration in an environment which is rich in materials and opportunities to converse, socialize, work, play, and negotiate with others

The classrooms are planned to encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving in an atmosphere of warmth, affection, and respect for each child

Teachers plan experiences based on children’s interests and appropriate educational concepts

We consider you, the parents, equal partners with us, the educators, in your child/ children’s development and education

We respect and value you and hope you will be equally involved with your child/ children’s development

We would love for you to participate in discussions about daycare policy, child development concerns, and curriculum planning, and evaluation
